All of the Hauser Center's educational initiatives are geared toward a combination of goals: a) teaching creative, critical thinking about the role and functioning of nonprofits and other organizations in civil society; and, b) building skills that can create effective organizations with long-term capacity. We are responsible for designing and delivering a coherent curriculum that reflects both the current state of the sector and its relationship with broader society, and best prepares students for thoughtful engagement with it. Because we are a university research center with a commitment to practitioners, our students are both those pursing academic degrees at Harvard and those currently working in the field. The Center's education initiatives include:
